Out of the mouth of a 4-year-old

O-Yay! Dinner, let's have some juicy meat!

Owen has a Tiger that is now named Roasted and a monkey named Marshmallow. They are best buds.

O-Can I have some candy?
-No, not till after lunch.
O- Can we have lunch right now?
-No! You haven't even had breakfast

O-What if my eyelashes went to the sky and E's went into outer space?
-Well E does have long lashes...

O-Why do you always say 'Hey?' That's annoying to me.

O-Can I get a snack of broccoli?
-Um sure but it's only 7:30 in the morning!
O-That's okay. I like broccoli.

O-I have a secret! I'm actually a real robot. Inside me is a robot. (Continues to talk like a robot for 5 minutes just to prove it to me)

O-I like my brother now.
Okay... want to keep him?
O-Ya.

I asked Owen who would take care of me if I got the flu. He said he would give me my medicine but can't open lids or pour into the spoon.

(Suddenly speaking another language)
-Where did you learn those words? School?
O-No. My brain just told me.

There are so many more and I always think I'll remember them but unless I jot them down, they're gone. This is why I have little notes everywhere. Aaaaah 4 year-olds.

I love checking in on your blog - that's why I linked it - kids never cease to come out with new and wonderful comments.

I just spent some time with my 4 year old niece. Like you, I thought I'd remember her comments but they disappear from my feeble brain...

One morning though, I got up and said to her "You look nice this morning!", she replied "You look tired this morning". Love it.

Four is my absolute FAVOURITE age. I'm planning my own blog post about that very thing soon! Thanks for the giggle. :)
